Google Ads
To get the best results from your clone, it makes sense to advertise. Creating a clone and simply waiting for it to become a success on its own is obviously not wise, nor will it work. Perhaps you already have some ads or campaigns running for your original website, for example with Google Ads. With Google Ads, formerly known as Google Adwords, you can appear above Google's organic search results with an ad. In this way, your website will attract even more attention, and that is why we definitely recommend using ads.
If you already have a Google Ads account for your original website, you can use this same account to set up campaigns for the clone. You can easily create new campaigns with the URLs of the clones you want to attract more traffic to. If you don't have an account yet, it's easy to create one with your Google Account. To do so, go to https://ads.google.com/.
Campaigns
Google Ads is all about campaigns. In the left-hand menu, you can add a new campaign. You can then choose an ad type (usually this is a search ad), set a goal (e.g. attract more customers). Then add the URL of the page to which the goal applies. For example, if you want more visitors to a certain category page, you enter the URL of this specific page. In addition, you can choose a name, location, language and network.
Keywords
It is wise to do a keyword research first. This way, you will know which keywords are relevant for your clone and therefore for your campaigns. This is especially smart if you purchase a clone with translation. Perhaps the literal translation of a Dutch keyword is not the keyword in German. By using the right keywords, your ad will only be shown to visitors who are actually looking for it. The chance that these visitors will actually purchase something when they click on the ad is therefore higher than with standard ads. It is therefore definitely worth looking into keywords.
With Google Ads, you can set up different types of ads, and there are several strategies you can use to get the best results for your clone with Ads. We won't go into too much detail on these right now. If you want more advice, information, or want to know about pricing, please visit the Google Ads website.
