Install plugin

The Clonable WordPress plugin provides a seamless integration between WordPress, WooCommerce and Clonable. Among other things, the plugin lets you synchronise clones, manage language tags, add a language switcher and extend WooCommerce functionality.

Installing the plugin​

The plugin is available through the official WordPress Plugin Directory.

  1. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  2. Search for Clonable.
  3. Click Install Now.
  4. Activate the plugin.

After activation, a new Clonable menu item appears in the WordPress admin area.

Connecting your website to Clonable​

To use the plugin, you need to connect it to your Clonable account using an API key.

No Clonable account yet?​

Don't have an account yet? Create one through the Clonable platform first. An API key is generated for you automatically during the registration process.

Existing Clonable account​

Already have a Clonable account?

  1. Log in to the Clonable dashboard.
  2. Open My account.
  3. Scroll to the API Keys section.
  4. Click Create key.
  5. Give the key a recognisable name, for example WordPress.
  6. Copy the generated API key.

Adding the API key​

Paste the API key into the designated field within the plugin and save the settings.

Once saved, the website is connected to your Clonable account and existing clones are synchronised automatically.

Synchronising with Clonable​

The Sync with Clonable button lets you synchronise the plugin with the Clonable platform manually.

Use this function whenever:

  • you have created new clones;
  • you have changed server settings in the Clonable dashboard;
  • you have deleted clones;

Dashboard overview​

After a successful connection, the plugin shows an overview of:

  • connected clones;
  • synchronisation status;
  • indexing warnings;
  • handy shortcuts to the Clonable dashboard.

From this overview you can easily navigate to the various sections of the plugin.
